We are sorry for any delay in your order, we try to contact and explain the 3 types of shipping we use thru the US Postal/US Mail (usps.com) and we can ship UPS.com, Fedex.com, or DHL.com but costs about 3-5 times as much- you can check rates from the websites.

USPS.com offers 3 types of airmail: 1st class International (regular airmail), Priority, and Express (EMS).

We suggest you go to the usps.com website to see the difference, however keep in mind that the delivery time posted on there is not always accurate. It can take 1-2 additional weeks.

We would like to ship EMS, because it is the only one that is real time tracking online, the other types of airmail only shows that we shipped it out. EMS is an additional $10-15+

Some countries have mail postal service that is not reliable, we cannot be responsible for that. We have shipped to some countries without problems and others sometimes ok, sometimes not.

To save the additional cost to you we would SOMETIMES like to combine ship your order and others, but will need someone to then ship the other packages to others in your country. If you can help with this let us know, otherwise please email (ask@suvlights.com) you understand and accept the risk of shipping regular airmail, or would like to pay the additional for EMS.

H.I.D. Xenon (vs) Xenon Halogen

Unfortunately many aftermarket companies (those that do not supply to automakers) BullSh*t their customers into thinking that some halogen bulbs will give the same light output as real HID Xenon lighting systems.

They use photoshopped pictures or pictures of real HID Xenon headlights to convince their victims that the $15 to $80 a pair bulbs will give them the same light output as Real HID Xenon (they usually put some “HID Xenon” reference on the packaging). It is important to differentiate Xenon (a gas used to create light) High Intensity Discharge (HID no filament just gas & uses high voltage 25,000 volt ballast) versus Xenon halogen (Xenon gas boost but still halogen bulbs with filaments) .

While it is possible to get close to the same color (measured in Kelvin) they will never come close to what a 35W automotive HID Xenon bulb can produce or light output (the best a high wattage halogen is 200% over stock bulbs versus 300+% for HID).-AND the blue coating they use is so dark it blocks light output -SO they increase the wattage to compensate which causes problems such as melted headlight sockets, exploding bulbs, or worse damaged electrical systems (why we recommend our Heavy Duty headlights relay wiring harness for even brighter & whiter lighting: http://www.suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=112

New Osram (Sylvania) D1 & D2 bulb design

Osram (Sylvania) has changed their HID bulbs design to match that of arch rival Philips (4 chrome prongs on center tube). While both companies are basically the only used by every Euro, Japanese, or N. American automakers- Philips has slight advantages and has been our preference

What does OE (Original Equipment)/OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) mean ?

When your car rolled off the assembly line -brand spanking new it was equipped with some parts not made by the auto maker but by an outside company (good example are tires etc).
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supplied these parts based on the performance, engineering, and legal specifications for the vehicle.
These parts are OE (Original Equipment) and the same exact parts as supplied to the auto maker when it was built on the assembly line at the factory (hence the terms “factory” or “stock”)

Bosch, Hella, PIAA and other “premium” brands

Did you know that Bosch, Hella, and PIAA do NOT make light bulbs ?

Bosch & Hella use Philips & Osram Sylvania for their better bulbs and use subcontractors in Asia to make their “private label” (fancy box/packaging with their logo) as does PIAA.

Well known & reputable for automotive headlight housings, Bosch & Hella both use Philips or Osram Sylvania (both have state of the art bulb factories in Germany) to supply the light sources (bulbs) as do almost all car makers whether European (Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagon etc) Domestic N. American (Chrysler/Dodge, Ford/Lincoln-Mercury, GM/Chevrolet, etc) or Japanese (Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Lexus etc)

So the next time you think about buying Bosch & Hella brands what you are actually getting is either repackaged bulbs from Philips & Osram Sylvania (the worlds largest & top automotive bulb manufacturers).

Or if you are thinking you are getting a “premium” brand such as PIAA (or any other Brand X that claims “made in Germany/Japan) its actually made in Asia (Korea, China, India, Taiwan). So skip the markup/higher price for BS and buy OEM (Original Equipment Mfg: Philips, Osram Sylvania, GE etc)
